HealthCore Hires Leading Industry Consultant to Head Big Data, Real-World Evidence, Payor and Provider Solutions

HealthCore, Inc., a health outcomes research company, has hired Dr. Kenneth Park to lead its rapidly growing real-world evidence and payor and provider research divisions.
Park, who most recently served as an associate principal at McKinsey & Company leading teams on big data and real-world evidence, will be in charge of growing and managing HealthCore’s research environment, including the Integrated Research Network and the HealthCore Integrated Research Database.
“This is an important time in healthcare and within our own company to have the right people in place with the experience and insight to help us transform healthcare,” said HealthCore President Marcus Wilson. “Dr. Park’s experience as a physician helps him understand the needs of patients to have better information to make healthcare decisions. Through his work with McKinsey, he understands the product challenges of the healthcare sector and how research that combines clinical and claims data can better guide product development.”
A key part of Park’s role as vice president of payor and provider solutions at HealthCore will be integrating the coordination of claims and medical data to support efforts by HealthCore, its parent company, WellPoint Inc., and other research collaborations involving HealthCore that focus on ways to improve health and quality while managing the total cost of care.

Dr. Park received his bachelor’s degree at Harvard College and his medical degree from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine.
