The health IT sector brought in $4.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2015, according to a new report from Mercom Capital Group.
Last year saw a slight decrease in funding from a record-breaking 2014, which saw $4.7 billion raised in 670 deals. There were 574 deals last year, the report notes.
Mercom in the report also notes that some of the biggest rounds were for NantHealth, at $200 million, and ZocDoc, at $130 million. IPOs also played a big role last year, with seven IPOs bringing in $2.2 billion. Report
