McKesson Provider Performance Management Solution Delivers Intelligent Data Integration and Analytics to Enable Improved Outcomes and Lower Healthcare Costs
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Genesis Physicians Group, the largest independent practice association (IPA) in north Texas, will implement components of the McKesson Integrated Provider Management (IPM) platform (formerly from Portico Systems) to better support its physician groups in improving patient care and outcomes. The solution combines intelligent clinical data integration with comprehensive data analytics to supply a key building block for accountable care: real-time, actionable clinical and financial insights that align care best practices with value-based reimbursement strategies.

The IPM Platform simplifies the design, maintenance, reimbursement and performance management of provider networks while facilitating provider-patient collaboration. Genesis Physicians Group will use the platform to aggregate data from many disparate electronic medical record (EMR) systems into a single comprehensive patient view across the IPA.
The provider performance management solution designed for Genesis has several IPM components that work in tandem to collect, standardize and securely transport clinical data from multiple systems as well as eliminate duplicate data and enable the creation and maintenance of unique provider and patient identity records. A data warehouse with a clinical rules engine stores and applies quality and performance analytics data, while a powerful analytics dashboard presents performance data in multiple dimensions, including provider network, patient population, demographic characteristics and quality measures.
