Futrend Technology, Inc. (FUTREND) announced today that it has been awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) under both the 8(a) and small business groupings.

CIO-SP3 is a 10-year, $20 billion federal government-wide acquisition contract supporting federal government information technology initiatives focusing on health- and biomedical-related services. It is a successor to the highly successful CIO-SP2i and the Image World2 New Dimensions GWAC contracts.

“This is a strategic win for us,” said FUTREND president Yvonne Zhou. “Together, with our partners on the team, we are able to provide high quality IT services and solutions to our government customers faster with lower costs. We can make a difference in improving the efficiency and effectiveness in healthcare delivery and scientific research.”

FUTREND has pledged to set aside one percent of the annual net profit from the previous year’s CIO-SP3 contracts as internal research funding for technology innovations within FUTREND’s Center of Innovation. FUTREND is also committed to donating one percent of the annual net profit from this contract vehicle to each of the following causes:

FUTREND and its six Contract Teaming Agreement (CTA) members and 16 teaming partners will bring government customers high quality IT services and solutions with competitive pricing resulting in outstanding customer satisfaction.
