Finity Communications Awarded Health Care Innovation Grant

The awards support 26 innovative projects nationwide

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that Finity Communications is one of 26 organizations selected for Health Care Innovation awards made possible by the health care law.

“We can’t wait to support innovative projects that will save money and make our health care system stronger,” said Secretary Sebelius.

“We are honored to have been selected,” said Deborah Stewart, President of Finity. “We believe an integrated technology platform combined with personalized health, wellness, and outreach programs will produce tangible health improvements and cost savings.”

Finity is teaming with Health Partners of Philadelphia and SCIOinspire to improve health care for over 120,000 high-need individuals.

“Our Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries have complex health care needs. We believe this program’s use of innovative technology, data, and peer health mentors will provide a sustainable model for improving health care and lowering costs,” said William S. George, President and CEO of Health Partners. “We are excited to have the opportunity to bring this groundbreaking project to the Greater Philadelphia area.”

“This intervention will use claims analytics and predictive modeling to drive integrated health profiles and personalized gaps in care and compliance alerts,” said Bart Bracken, Senior VP and COO of the Health Analytics Division at SCIOinspire.

This program is expected to save approximately $8.7 million.
