HealthCare Anytime™, a leading provider of enterprise patient portal technology, announced today that it has expanded its current contract with Ephraim McDowell Health to include its entire enterprise patient portal suite. The new features of the full suite will provide patients with the meaningful online experience needed to drive patient engagement. Ephraim McDowell Health has been using HealthCare Anytime’s Online Bill Pay suite since 2010.

Ephraim McDowell Health is an integrated delivery network (IDN) that serves more than 119,000 residents from six counties in central Kentucky. The IDN is anchored by Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, a non-profit, 222-bed hospital, and Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital. There are also 39 other facilities within the Ephraim McDowell network, including a wellness center, an assisted living facility, a children’s learning and development center, ten family medical centers, rehabilitation, diagnostic, diabetes, wound healing, spine, pain management and cancer care centers.

“We are thrilled that Ephraim McDowell Health has chosen to expand their relationship with HealthCare Anytime,” said Brady Klick, HealthCare Anytime chief executive officer. “Ephraim McDowell is a significant and progressive IDN serving a large region in Kentucky and with a comprehensive network of outpatient facilities. Its mission to improve the outcomes of its large patient population aligns with HealthCare Anytime’s mission to meaningfully engage patients in their own healthcare. Signing on to use our full suite of products will help ensure that they achieve their goals.”

Becky Blevins, Information Services Project Manager at Ephraim McDowell Health, added, “HealthCare Anytime’s Online Bill Pay suite has been a successful first step in engaging our patients in their own healthcare by enabling patients to view, search, and pay their medical bills online. Customer use of on-line bill pay proved to be substantial and very positive. The easy implementation and use by our patients, convinced us to move forward with installation of the full patient portal suite. HealthCare Anytime has been a great partner in helping us begin this important patient engagement process.”

HealthCare Anytime’s full solution suite will give patients specific tools that allow them to help manage their own health better. It will give them the ability to access their health information online real-time, exchange secure messages with Ephraim McDowell staff, pre-register for appointments as well as handle appointment and prescription renewal requests online.
