Aetna Helps Members Become Savvy Healthcare Consumers with Award-Winning Videos

Aetna (NYSE: ) recently received an Award of Distinction in the Online Video/Education category from The 2013 Communicator Awards. Aetna was recognized for a series of educational videos that were designed to help members better understand and use their health care benefits.

The short videos emphasize the importance of the member’s provider and health care choices, and help them become more informed health care consumers. The videos focus on some of Aetna’s tools that members use to make health care decisions, as well as network designs that enable members to access high-quality, affordable care. The series of videos highlights nine of Aetna’s tools and programs, including:

The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an organization with more than 600 leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
