Acadia Healthcare to Implement Suite of HMS Financial Applications at More Than 25 Facilities Nationwide

HMS chosen for its multi-entity experience and ability to keep pace with Acadia’s growth plans

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACHC) has chosen a suite of fully integrated financial-management applications from Healthcare Management Systems Inc.® (HMS) to help maximize the operating efficiency of more than two dozen of its facilities nationwide.

HMS applications and modules, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Health Information Management, Patient Accounting, Pharmacy and Referral Tracking, will be rolled out to Acadia’s network of behavioral health facilities. Founded in 2005, Acadia is a rapidly growing provider of inpatient behavioral healthcare services with a network of facilities in 18 states.

Acadia chose HMS because its applications can scale to keep pace with Acadia’s growth, are easy to use, were priced competitively and because HMS has the operational experience and technology portfolio needed to support Acadia’s nationwide expansion.

“The Acadia relationship further strengthens HMS’ corporate customer base and reflects the confidence that large, complex entities have in the reliability and scalability of our systems,” said Tom Stephenson, president of HMS. “We look forward to building a strong and long-lasting relationship with Acadia and are pleased be part of their exciting growth story.”
