Users can now leverage financial incentives outlined in HITECH Act
INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Zotec Partners, an industry leader in medical billing, practice management and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) software and services, announces today that its Electronic Billing Center (EBC) RIS software version 6.7 has been tested and certified for Ambulatory Meaningful Use by the Certified HIT Product List (CHPL) under the EHR Module product classification.
In order to qualify for the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, providers must demonstrate meaningful use of a certified EHR solution. This certification indicates that Zotec Partners’ RIS has the capabilities needed to support radiology practices in their efforts to achieve meaningful use.
“The government is now reimbursing medical software that is certified for meaningful use,” said Scott Law, president and CEO of Zotec Partners. “In order for practices to leverage the financial incentives outlined in the HITECH Act, they must work with a provider on the CHPL. The Certified HIT Product List (CHPL) provides the authoritative, comprehensive listing of Complete EHRs and EHR Modules that have been tested and certified under the Temporary Certification Program maintained by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC). Each Complete EHR and EHR Module listed below has been certified by an ONC-Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) and reported to ONC. Only the product versions that are included on the CHPL are certified under the ONC Temporary Certification Program.
This EHR Module is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
