Virtual CME Launches New Innovative Website

Introducing Medical Imaging's first virtual hands-on image based training program

HOUSTON, Aug. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Virtual CME, LLC, a leading provider in online medical imaging education courses, today announced the launch of the industry's first online, image based CME accredited program for Cardiac CT Angiography (CTA). Through the utilization of streaming video, 3D visualization cloud computing, and webinars, Virtual CME gives students the classroom experience online.

"Realizing that training in medical imaging is a hands-on visual experience, our web based programs are designed to give students the benefits of the classroom.  Students have the ability to not only watch expert trainers review cases, but also manipulate and interpret the same cases from their computer without any downloading. The only thing needed is an internet connection," said Robert Graham, President of Virtual CME.

Developed in association with Dr. Carter Newton of the University of Arizona and Dr. Roger Bies of Chandler Regional Medical Center, Virtual CME's CTA courses give students 60 day access to mentored cases and course materials that count towards certification. All courses have a wide variety of cases.  Details can be found on the course outlines located in the courses tab.
