Valley Presbyterian Hospital Named “Best Hospital” for Sixth Consecutive Year

Wins Honor in LA Daily News Poll

VAN NUYS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- For the sixth year in a row, Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) won the “Best Hospital” designation in a poll of Los Angeles Daily News readers. The annual Readers’ Choice online survey was conducted independently by the Los Angeles Daily News.

“Best Hospital” is the top designation among hospitals, given to the one institution that outpaces others that rank among “Favorite Hospitals.”

“We thank the readers of the Daily News for recognizing the exceptional care provided by our outstanding team of physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers,” said Gustavo Valdespino, Valley Presbyterian Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer. “While we are honored to win this award for the sixth consecutive year, our greatest reward is simply having satisfied patients.”

Since Valley Presbyterian Hospital opened its doors in 1958, ensuring the health of the community has been its central focus. It is leading the way in the care of its patients, achieving designation as a Primary Stroke Center this year and launching the use of “RoboDoc,” a cutting-edge technology that enables quicker examinations of patients by specialists to ensure they get the best care possible.

This year, it also has received honors and grants for its advocacy and support for breast-feeding for its staff and patients, and it’s setting the pace to avoid amputations and save the lives of patients with diabetes at its Amputation Prevention Center.

“We are here for our patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Mr. Valdespino. “We have never wavered from our commitment to provide the highest quality of care to our patients, and we are grateful for this recognition of our value to the community.”
