Valley Presbyterian Hospital Executive Accepted into Prestigious Leadership Program

Valley Presbyterian Hospital Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations Gayathri S. Jith was accepted into the Thomas C. Dolan Executive Diversity Program, a distinguished year-long program designed to provide support to senior-level health care leadership.

The Thomas C. Dolan Executive Diversity Program was established by the Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and it aims to achieve and promote diversity in health care management. Each year, a maximum of six applicants are selected for the program.

“I am honored to be selected to participate in this esteemed program, and welcome the opportunity to continue to learn and grow as a health care executive,” Ms. Jith said.

The curriculum features several leadership development sessions with a focus on how to overcome barriers in career advancement, develop an executive presence, and take part in formal leadership education and career assessments. Ms. Jith will be matched with a program mentor who will provide her with support and guidance for the duration of the program.

Ms. Jith was appointed Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations in November 2012. She is responsible for guiding Valley Presbyterian Hospital’s health care reform efforts and for overseeing clinical, ancillary and support services.

Ms. Jith received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master of Public Health degree in healthcare management from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Southern California in Healthcare Administration. Additionally, Ms. Jith gives back to the San Fernando Valley community as a co-chair on the Valley Industry and Commerce Association’s (VICA) Healthcare Committee and as a board member of Meeting Each Need with Dignity (MEND).
