The new condition monitoring features utilize the built-in sensors of the Newbury Wi-Fi asset tags to automatically measure temperatures of perishable items and other condition-sensitive assets. Existing tags in the field already have built-in temperature sensors. ActiveAsset delivers automatic real-time logging and alerting on temperature fluctuations to provide clinical staff such as nurses and pharmaceutical personnel with a reliable, automated approach to ensure high levels of patient safety and regulatory compliance. The solution leverages the hospital's existing WLAN infrastructure, requiring no costly hardware overlay or proprietary communication protocol.
