Three Top-50 US Radiology Practices Adopt Intelerad’s Market-Leading Distributed Radiology Solution

InteleOne to be deployed by Bay Medical Management, Jefferson Radiology, and Milwaukee Radiologists

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Intelerad® Medical Systems, a recognized leader in medical imaging PACS and workflow solutions, today announced that three large radiology practices in the United States have adopted InteleOne® to streamline medical imaging workflows and accelerate business growth.

Bay Medical Management, Jefferson Radiology PC, and Milwaukee Radiologists Ltd. will use InteleOne to report multi-modality studies from multiple sites with disparate PACS and RIS. These new customers will leverage InteleOne’s award-winning worklist and viewer, as well as its multi-method reporting and result distribution capabilities, to increase efficiency and enhance patient care. Intelerad’s distributed radiology solutions, integrated with more than 65 PACS, RIS and HIS providers, are designed to meet the needs of complex and heterogeneous healthcare environments.

These customers, three of the 50 largest private radiology practices in the United States according to the 2010 Radiology Business Journal survey, manage a total of more than two million procedures annually. Bay Medical Management in California employs 56 radiologists, owns five imaging centers and serves eleven hospitals performing over 1,000,000 radiological procedures per year. Jefferson Radiology PC is a Connecticut-based group with 50 radiologists, nine imaging centers, and four hospital contracts with 625,000 radiological procedures each year. Milwaukee Radiologists Ltd is a 35-radiologist group in Wisconsin, serving two imaging centers and four hospitals with procedure volumes exceeding 500,000 annually.

“We are honored to be chosen by these leading US practices to provide a solution for their workflow challenges,” said Randall Oka, President and CEO of Intelerad. “The success of InteleOne early adopters has clearly established Intelerad’s ability to deliver on the promises of workflow orchestration and a unified worklist.”

Radiology groups are leveraging InteleOne to better manage sub-specialties, expand coverage, offer 24x7 services, and easily add new reading sites. InteleOne provides each radiologist a personalized, highly productive reading environment.
