Thousands to Greet 2,500 Riders as AIDS/LifeCycle Wheels Into L.A. June 7; 7-day, 545-Mile Ride From San Francisco Raises a Reco

LOS ANGELES, June 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by AIDS/LifeCycle:

What: More than 2,500 cyclists and 500 volunteer "roadies" will finish a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride to Los Angeles on Saturday, June 7, in a triumphant closing ceremony at the V.A. Center in West Los Angeles. Thousands of friends and supporters will greet the riders and roadies and join them for an inspirational closing ceremony.

Participants in the 7th annual AIDS/LifeCycle have raised a record $11.6 million for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. No other annual event raises more money for HIV/AIDS services and prevention. In the last six years, AIDS/LifeCycle has raised more than $40 million for HIV/AIDS services.
