Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC) and Florida Blue, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan of Florida, have established an accountable care organization (ACO) agreement that covers nearly 10,000 Florida Blue commercial members in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Effective June 1, Florida Blue’s members will have in-network access to Tenet’s Florida-based ACO, the , which includes more than 900 physicians, as well as 10 acute care hospitals and 36 outpatient centers operated by Tenet Healthcare in .

“Tenet’s ACOs are changing the way physicians coordinate and deliver patient care by reducing readmissions, ER visits and unnecessary duplication of services,” said Clint Hailey, senior vice president of managed care for Tenet Healthcare. “The clinical programs our ACOs continue to implement are improving care delivery and the overall patient experience, and we are pleased to welcome Florida Blue’s members into the Advantage Health Network.”
