ADS Technologies Receives ONC-ATCB Certification from Drummond Group
NATIONAL HARBOR, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ADS Technologies, Inc. announces its “Practice Partner Program,” allowing eligible practices to defer the software license payment until they receive their 2012 Meaningful Use incentive payment. ADS Technologies’ Electronic Health Records Software, Supra, has received the federal government’s “MEANINGFUL USE” stamp of approval on August 18, 2011, by earning the ONC-ATCB EHR Certification. The designation officially deems the electronic health record (EHR) software capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the EHR software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
“This is a critical component of our drive to offer providers the modern tools needed to manage clinical quality care while still maintaining that personal touch that is so vital to the patients they serve. Our software is easy to implement and even easier to use. This certification validates our hard work to keep that focus as we implement the components required for the meaningful use government incentives and other bonuses available to providers who adopt electronic health records,” says John McDonough, CEO, ADS Technologies.
Drummond Group’s ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology -- a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
ADS Technologies. Inc. has been in operation since 2003 and became well known for its excellence in technology integration and as a developer of high end time critical software applications. In its early years, Supra developed document management systems, credit transaction processing systems, and hand writing recognition tools. Many of these technologies have been leveraged into the design and development of Supra™ EHR System, a fully integrated electronic health records and practice management software suite, which now meets the requirements for ARRA CERTIFICATION.
This [Complete EHR or EHR Module] is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
