Summit Orthopedics Physicians to See Patients at Apple Valley Medical Center

Three Summit Orthopedics physicians began seeing patients July 1 in the United Specialty Center located on the second floor of the Apple Valley Medical Center. They replace Mark Sigmond, M.D., of Orthopedic Specialists, who retired.

Physicians now providing care at the Apple Valley Medical Center are:

Summit Orthopedics was founded 27 years ago and today is one of the Twin Cities’ largest orthopedic groups, with more than 40 physicians, 400 full-time employees, 11 clinic locations, three OrthoQUICK walk-in clinics and two surgery centers.

“Being part of the Apple Valley Medical Center is an important strategic effort for our organization,” said Adam Berry, CEO, Summit Orthopedics. “Many of our patients come from the south metro, and this location will provide them with greater convenience, as well as access to the many ancillary services offered at the Apple Valley Medical Center.”

The Apple Valley Medical Center includes the independent Apple Valley Medical Clinic of 13 family practice physicians and two physician assistants, serving patients from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., five days a week. It also includes a 24-hour Urgent Care center. In addition, approximately 30 specialty physicians see patients in the United Specialty Center, providing services in allergy and asthma; cardiology; colon and rectal surgery; dermatology; ear, nose and throat; general surgery; low back & neck care; neurology; neurosurgery; ob/gyn; ophthalmology; orthopedics; orthopedics – ankle and foot; podiatry and urology. The Apple Valley Medical Center also houses United Medical Imaging for digital mammography, ultrasound, CT and MRI scans; a full-service pharmacy; and physical medicine and rehabilitation care through Courage Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy - Apple Valley.
