SuccessEHS Client ARcare Honored by HIMSS Analytics

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- HIMSS Analytics, a wholly owned not-for-profit subsidiary of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), recently honored SuccessEHS client ARcare for achieving Stage 6 on the EMR Adoption ModelSM (EMRAM). The second highest level of the HIMSS Analytics EMRAM, Stage 6 requirements include advanced uses of health information technology. These requirements include demonstrated use of electronic physician documentation, clinical decision support, computerized provider order entry, closed-loop medication administration and other advanced functionalities.

ARcare is a community health center (CHC) providing quality affordable care to residents of Kentucky and Arkansas. This designation puts the organization in an elite minority; as of May 2013, just 259 ambulatory sites tracked by HIMSS Analytics had reached Stage 6 on its Ambulatory EMRAM. ARcare is not only among this elite group, but is also the first free standing ambulatory practice that is not a part of a hospital system to earn this recognition.

ARcare transitioned to the SuccessEHS solution in 2012 from another EHR system, citing SuccessEHS's excellent track record, patient-centered EHR and local, U.S.-based development and support.

"ARcare is dedicated to using health IT to enhance the quality of the affordable medical and dental care we provide to residents of Arkansas and Kentucky," said Greg Wolverton, Chief Information Officer at ARcare. "We are proud to have achieved Stage 6 recognition, and plan to continue our efforts to leverage our state-of-the-art EHR system's capabilities to enhance care delivery."

"SuccessEHS congratulates ARcare on this outstanding achievement," said Dante Rankart, Vice President of Sales at SuccessEHS. "ARcare benefits communities across Kentucky and Arkansas by providing quality affordable medical and dental care, and we are proud to be their health IT partner."
