Strategic Health Group Celebrates First Anniversary

(SHG) celebrated its first anniversary today, marking an inaugural year which saw the company assist some of the nation’s best-known healthcare organizations navigate the industry’s changing and increasingly complex environment.

“Hospital, health plan and physician executives are all facing daunting challenges brought about by healthcare reform, regulatory changes and new financial incentives,” said SHG Co-Founder Henry Osowski. “We are grateful and thankful to those organizations who put their confidence and trust in us to help them position for success in these changing, challenging times.”

Among the clients with whom SHG has worked in its inaugural year are Providence Health & Services, Blue Shield of California and HealthPlus of Michigan. SHG has also lent its strategic and operational expertise to Duke Industries, LEK Consulting and Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP. SHG has utilized its expertise to assist clients tackle a variety of strategic initiatives including participation in integrated care programs for dual-eligible beneficiaries in several states, expansion of Medicare Advantage service areas, and developing strategic relationships to take advantage of new opportunities under the health reform banner. In some of these cases, SHG has worked in partnership with Martin Gibson of Millennium Actuarial Group to better provide clients with a more comprehensive portfolio of integrated consulting services.
