Steward Health Care, Fallon launch insurance plan

Massachusetts' Steward Health Care system and Fallon Community Health Plan on Tuesday announced its health insurance plan called Steward Community Care, a limited network plan for small businesses. The expanding health system first launched into the payer market when it announced its partnership with Tufts Health Plan in December. Steward Community Care, available through Fallon Community Health Plan, promises to offer comprehensive coverage with savings of at least 20 percent, the company said in a press release. Beneficiaries of the plan will receive care from Steward's network of 10 community hospitals and 2,200 physicians or out-of-network at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital or by the MGH for Children for tertiary-level pediatric care. The plan goes into effect April 1. Press release
