America's hospitals have long been committed to ensuring health care coverage for all. While the path to universal coverage has been long, today we are closer than ever to reaching this important goal.
With President Obama's signature on this bill, 32 million people will now have access to health care coverage, significant insurance market reforms will be enacted and a solid foundation will be laid upon which we can continue to build and improve our nation's health and health care system.
We applaud President Obama's leadership and dedication to enacting reform that will better the lives of so many, and we look forward to working with the Administration and Congress to continue to improve health care for the patients and communities we serve.
