St. Vincent’s Launches Dial-A-Nurse iPhone App

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- St. Vincent’s Health System (STVHS) introduces a new iPhone application for one of its medical services, Dial-A-Nurse, a service offering free general health and medical information to the community via phone. The app also provides quick links to maps, services and STVHS websites.

Dial-A-Nurse provides thoughtful responses to the kinds of health questions you’ve always wanted answered, covering everything from cholesterol to earwax. Dial-A-Nurse is your source for health information and is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. CST.

The free iPhone application will connect users with medical professionals at the touch of one’s fingertip and includes the following features:

  • Instant access to call or email Dial-A-Nurse for answers to your medical questions and physician referrals
  • A complete listing of all St. Vincent’s Health System facilities, including St. Vincent’s Birmingham, St. Vincent’s Blount, St. Vincent’s St. Clair, St. Vincent’s East and St. Vincent’s One Nineteen Hospitals
  • Detailed information for each location, including address, phone number, website, areas of specialty and directions to your closest facilities or one of your choice
  • Quick link to St. Vincent’s Health System videos including physicians’ tips, events, television commercials and more
