iMDsoft, a leader in Anesthesia Information Management Systems, announced that St. Louis Children’s Hospital has implemented MetaVision in 114 beds across its perioperative environment.

St. Louis Children’s is a 258 bed hospital that provides a full range of pediatric services to the St. Louis metropolitan area and a primary service region covering six states. Ranked 6th in America’s Best Children’s Hospitals survey, Children’s is part of BJC HealthCare, one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, which includes 13 hospitals and multiple community health locations.

BJC HealthCare sought a system that would help standardize documentation and case processes throughout the organization. MetaVision was selected based on established capabilities such as advanced decision support, interoperability and high degree of adaptability. This new project follows BJC’s installation of MetaVision at its adult academic medical center, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, also ranked by among America’s Best Hospitals.

The MetaVision Anesthesia Information Management System supports the workflow and documentation processes throughout the entire anesthesia process and beyond, from pre-op, through intra-op and into recovery. It has powerful clinical decision support tools that improve patient care and adherence to internal protocols and regulatory guidelines. The system generates an accurate, billable anesthesia record including accurate tracking of events, medications and procedures. Billable events are captured, which helps maximize accuracy of both professional and facility charges.

“It is always gratifying when existing clients choose MetaVision for additional sites, testifying to their satisfaction,” said David Sides, CEO, iMDsoft. “We feel confident that St. Louis Children’s Hospital will realize positive clinical outcomes, as well as financial gains in the areas of pay-per-performance initiatives, billing, and operations.”

iMDsoft is a leading provider of advanced Anesthesia Information Management Systems. The systems build on a decade of experience worldwide and support the entire perioperative workflow from pre-op, through intra-op and into recovery. They generate complete and billable anesthesia records including accurate tracking of events, medications, and procedures. Customers report that MetaVision promotes patient safety, enhances compliance with quality initiatives, and facilitates cost containment, revenue capture, and research.
