SSI Administrator Receives WEDI's Award of Merit

(SSI) announced today that Mary Hyland, Assistant Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, was awarded the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) Award of Merit on November 9, 2010. WEDI recognized and awarded Hyland at the organization's annual member meeting, which took place during WEDI's Fall Conference in Reston, Va.

WEDI's Awards Program identifies and recognizes individuals and organizations in the healthcare industry whose achievements have contributed significantly to the advancement of WEDI's mission and/or the overall improvement of specific aspects of the healthcare industry. The program, which is comprised of six awards, recognized 35 individuals and two organizations this year.

The WEDI Award of Merit acknowledges individuals who have contributed in a meaningful way to the success of WEDI, the WEDI National Provider Identifier Outreach Initiative (NPIOI) and/or the WEDI Strategic National Implementation Process (SNIP) programs and activities through their volunteer commitment and talents. Hyland joined 17 other healthcare industry leaders in receiving the Award of Merit.
