SPOTLIGHT: Senators to examine Medicare stability

A pair of U.S. Senators are hoping to see a vote on a bill, introduced last year, which would set up a task force to examine the financial stability of Medicare and other entitlement programs. The panel would be required to introduce its recommendations as legislation, and both houses would have to consider the new legislation when they reconvened in January 2009. Right now, however, it looks like the panel-creation bill doesn't have much support. Article
