SmartCare Urgent Care Welcomes Dr. Zobair Nagamia as Chief Operating Officer

Emory Director Has Extensive Ties to Atlanta Area

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Dr. Zobair Nagamia has been named Chief Operating Officer of SmartCare Urgent Care located at 4400 Peachtree Road, NE, according to Samir Bhatia, CEO of SmartCare. Located next to Oglethorpe University, the new SmartCare clinic will open its doors to patients in Early Spring 2012.

Dr. Nagamia has over 10 years of experience in the management and oversight of clinical trials and managing business operations for the division of Geriatric Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, as well as managing operations for the Geriatric Education Center at the Atlanta VA.

When open, SmartCare Urgent Care which is a free standing clinic next to Oglethorpe University, will emphasize quality urgent and wellness care services targeted to the busy urban market area it serves in Atlanta. The clinic’s spectrum of services will include treatment for most minor injuries and illnesses from broken bones and lacerations to diarrhea and upper respiratory tract infections. In addition, the clinic will offer Women’s Health Services and Wellness Services including inexpensive flu vaccinations, B12 shots, physicals, immunizations and immediate digital X-ray and lab services.
