SmartCare Urgent Care Now Open in North Atlanta

New Clinic Emphasizes Fast, Quality Care for Urban Atlanta Neighborhoods

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- North Atlanta neighborhoods have gained a new urgent care center with the opening of SmartCare Urgent Care located at 4400 Peachtree Road, NE in Brookhaven next to Oglethorpe University. The stand-alone clinic emphasizes quality urgent and wellness care services targeted to the busy urban market area it serves, according to Dr. Kavita Kotte, the center’s Chief Medical Officer.

"SmartCare is excited to be a part of the Brookhaven neighborhood and we look forward to serving the healthcare needs of our neighbors," says Dr. Kotte. "We are the health care alternative for illness, injury and wellness care when a trip to a doctor’s office is inconvenient or the ER is unwarranted. Our unique practice is designed to provide urgent care treatment for both adults and children in addition to wellness services, women’s health and occupational medicine for businesses."

SmartCare Urgent Care is physician-owned and operated and always has a licensed physician on staff. The facility is equipped to serve both adult and pediatric patients over two years of age and has both pediatric and geriatric specialists on staff.

SmartCare’s clinic is a state-of-the-art facility with the latest in medical technology. The clinic features an on-site digital X-Ray and laboratory studies with same day results. The clinic has two procedure rooms and eight exam rooms as well as one exam room dedicated to pediatric care. The new urgent care center offers lower co-pays than ER visits as well as shorter wait times. SmartCare accepts most major insurances including Medicare and also offers affordable self-pay rates for the uninsured.

The new center’s spectrum of services include treatment for most minor injuries and illnesses from broken bones and lacerations to diarrhea and upper respiratory tract infections. The clinic’s Wellness Services include inexpensive flu vaccinations, B12 shots, physicals, and immunizations.

SmartCare Urgent Care is open 7 days a week and no appointments are necessary. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. SmartCare offers a web check-in service allowing patients to complete forms and be placed on the schedule before coming in.
