Small business exchange enrollment delayed

Small businesses won't be able to sign up online through the small business health option program (SHOP) when the exchanges open for enrollment next week. They will have to wait until November instead, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services announced. Employers can still review their plan options on the SHOP exchanges and sign up by mail or fax starting Oct. 1. But online applications won't be available until November.
