App combines fully indexed set of all ACC/AHA guideline recommendations with latest evidence-based medicine content

Marlborough, MA (May 2, 2011) - Skyscape, Inc.,  a subsidiary of Physicians Interactive Holdings and trusted leading provider of mobile apps used by more than one million healthcare professionals worldwide, recently partnered with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) to launch the CardioSource Mobile app.  The app combines a fully indexed set of all ACC/American Heart Association guideline recommendations with the latest evidence-based medicine content from CardioSource.org.  It was released in conjunction with the recent ACC.11 Annual Scientific Session in New Orleans, and in just the first two weeks, the app was downloaded more than 4,000 times.

"The goal of this partnership is to aid cardiologists in improving patient care by providing convenient access to trusted cardiology resources where they need them the most-at the point of care," said Sanjay Pingle, President of  Physicians Interactive.  "The CardioSource Mobile app can be used at the bedside for quick reference, on-the-go, or as a practical research tool."

The ACC member version of this app is continually updated with the most current information and treatment guidelines, so cardiologists can always be confident they have the accurate decision support they need.  In addition to clinical and drug references and tools, CardioSource also includes videos, journals and blog entries.

The following is just a sampling of the resources and tools available:

  • Journal Scan
  • CardioSource Video News
