SF mulls universal health care with HSAs

In San Francisco, city officials announced a plan which would require all employers in the city to provide health insurance to their workers, triggering an outburst of angry criticism from opponents. The measure is comparable to Proposition 72, last year's ballot initiative which would have imposed a similar requirement on employers. The proposed plan would require businesses in the city with 20 or more workers to set up health savings accounts for their workers and and contribute $345 a month per employee.
