Resources Available from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to Individuals Coping with Newtown Tragedy

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut (Anthem) is making its Employee Assistance Program (EAP) resources available to any individual needing assistance in coping with Friday’s tragic shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. These resources include telephone-based counseling, online resources focused on dealing with grief, and assistance locating needed services.

Any member of the community can access the EAP program by calling 1-877-208-8240 or by visiting and using the login name “Newtown.”

Like so many caring organizations and individuals in our state and around the country, we are committed to doing our part to assist and provide services for as long as the they are needed to any individual coping with Friday’s tragic event,” said David R.
