Radisphere Announces Team of Board-Certified, Onsite Radiologists at NCH Healthcare System

Radisphere (), the largest and fastest-growing national radiology group in the United States, announced the hiring of its team of full-time onsite radiologists at in Naples, Florida. The onsite radiologists are supported by a 50-person team of subspecialists in the areas of Musculoskeletal Radiology, Neuroradiology, Body Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Radiology, Pediatric Radiology and Emergency Department Radiology.

The Radisphere team of onsite radiologists includes: Alfred P. Hand, MD, MA; William J. Ford, MD; and Scott Peterson, MD, MPH.

Dr. Hand is the Medical Director of Radiology at NCH and is responsible for the clinical leadership of the department. He also represents the Radiology Department in Cancer Committee, Medical Executive Committee and Medical Staff meetings. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is CTA- and MQSA-certified, and he has a special interest is CT-guided interventional procedures. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and did his residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. He also holds a master’s degree in English Literature from University of Georgia. He is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiology Society of North America.

Dr. Ford is certified by the American Board of Radiology, with a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology. He received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a Fellowship in MRI and Neuroradiology at the University of Minnesota. He is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and a member of the American College of Radiology, the International Spine Intervention Society, and the American Society of Spine Radiology.

Dr. Peterson is certified by the American Board of Radiology and received a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.He received his medical degree and a master’s degree in public health from Tulane University in New Orleans. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Hospital of Saint Rafael, affiliated with Yale University, and a Fellowship in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at the Louisiana State University Medical Center at New Orleans. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe, the Florida Medical Association, and the Alachua County Medical Society.
