Surveillint Will Integrate Legacy Systems and Provide Reporting Capabilities to Help Secure Facility and Meet Federal Compliance Regulations

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Proximex, the leader in event and information management for both physical and logical security markets, today announced that it was awarded a subcontract by Iron Bow Technologies to provide Surveillint to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Under the terms of this agreement, Surveillint will be installed as the command and control center solution at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care Systems facility located in Tucson, AZ. This facility serves more than 170,000 veterans located in eight counties in Southern Arizona and one county in Western New Mexico.

“We are extremely honored to help the VA Tucson better monitor its environment by bringing information from existing systems into a single environment,” said Pat Reilly, vice president of worldwide sales and business development for Proximex. “Surveillint provides organizations with a straight-forward way to ensure company policies and government regulations are met as operators are guided through incident response. This process leads to overall improved efficiency to help organizations meet compliance regulations.”

Surveillint allows the VA Tucson facility to integrate several legacy security systems, including hundreds of cameras and thousands of alarm points and card readers, into one easy-to-use command and control system. By implementing Surveillint, VA Tucson may add new systems and technologies as time and budget allow. Surveillint also helps VA Tucson reduce reporting procedures from days to minutes and improves situational awareness, which allows the organization to meet new compliance regulations.
