Premier healthcare alliance industry experts will discuss value-based purchasing, accountable care and patient safety across the nation in September.

Mountain States Health Alliance Chief Financial Officer Marvin Eichorn will present alongside Premier members during the financial operations track at the fall 2012 Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) Summit in Phoenix on September 10. He will explain the factors leading to adoption of value-based purchasing processes, identify challenges in measuring performance and cite innovative ways for value-based purchasing to contribute in collaboration.

Jeff Petry, Premier vice president of new enterprise initiatives, will attend the Blue National Summit in Orlando, FL, on September 11. There, Petry and Hilton Raethel, senior vice president of the Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), will describe the relationship between Premier and HMSA and how Hawaii hospitals have incorporated the QUEST model into a new quality and cost improvement initiative known as Advanced Hospital Care.
