Precyse Solutions Launches Clinical Documentation Improvement Program to Assist Hospitals in Accelerating Revenues

WAYNE, Pa., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Precyse Solutions, the leader in driving peak performance within Health Information Management (HIM) departments, has added even more depth to its already robust service offerings and highly qualified team of HIM experts. Noted professionals Sue Muse, RHIA and Deborah Worthington, RHIT have been recruited to lead and implement the development of Precyse's Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Program. The Precyse Program provides a mechanism for communication and collaboration among physicians, nurses, coders and other integral members of the healthcare team to secure complete clinical information that most accurately reflects the illness and treatment of the patient. Customers who fully deploy this program will experience the most appropriate and accurate coding and MS- DRG assignment resulting in appropriate and complete reimbursement for care delivered. By eliminating coding errors and improving clinical documentation, Precyse's CDI Program avoids delays in reimbursement, ultimately accelerating revenue received.

With over 25 years in the healthcare industry, Sue Muse has been named Director of CDI at Precyse, where she will oversee the entire scope of Precyse's CDI services including managing CDI implementation and ensuring client deliverables and client expectations are met or exceeded. Prior to joining Precyse, Sue re-established a complete CDI program for Pikeville Medical Center starting in 2002 where she made significant contributions and enhancements to their existing program, The Pikeville Program, which consisted of compliance, organizational profiling and improved documentation for the continuum of care, and yielded significant results for the hospital.

Deborah Worthington, a Coding Compliance and Education Senior Consultant with Precyse, recently received the newly announced C-CDI certification, and is one of the first people in the country to receive these significant credentials. As a Precyse Senior Consultant, in working alongside Sue Muse, Deborah brings her extensive expertise as a professional coder and coding educator to the CDI Program to coordinate the various training modules necessary to achieve optimal results. Deborah has 34 years in the HIM field and the last 10 of those have been exclusively focused in CDI. She has taught the CDI Program in over 100 hospitals.

"Sue and Deborah provide an innovative, keen and interesting approach on keeping a client's CDI Program new, productive, viable and current," said Jeffrey Levitt, CEO and Founder of Precyse Solutions. "We are fortunate to have two great resources as passionate about CDI as these two HIM superstars. In addition, we are extremely proud of Deborah's achievement in fulfilling the requirements as a Certified Specialist in Clinical Documentation Improvement. Since only a few people in the country have the honor of this distinction, we feel fortunate to have someone of her talents in our practice," said Levitt.
