Drummond Group Inc., an Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB) certified fifteen modules of Practice Fusion's EHR system on October 18, 2010.  A key step toward the company's guarantee of Complete EHR certification for 2011 incentives, Practice Fusion was granted certification for eight privacy and security criteria and seven criteria around core Meaningful Use objectives.

"When I started this company, the goal was to give doctors across the country a system that could affordably, easily bring new technology into their practices," said Ryan Howard, CEO of Practice Fusion. "Now, Practice Fusion's free, web-based EHR system works with over 40,000 medical professionals.  And those providers are well on their way to qualifying for $44,000+ in ARRA incentives – incentives that they don't have pass on to an expensive legacy EHR vendor, incentives that they can use to invest in their practices and their communities."

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

2011/2012 certification conferred by Drummond Group does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

Practice Fusion, certification number 10182010-9527-1, meets the following certification criteria:

  • 170.302 (c)Maintain up-to-date problem list
  • 170.302 (d) Maintain active medication list
