Oakwood Recognized for Demonstrating Exemplary Meaningful Use and Innovation

Oakwood was recognized for its demonstration of exemplary and innovative deployment methodology and subsequent high rates of physician adoption and use of the PatientKeeper Physician Portal™ within the Oakwood Health System. The annual PatientKeeper Customer Innovation Award recognizes a PatientKeeper customer that best demonstrates the use of PatientKeeper applications to achieve high levels of innovation throughout its organization.
Oakwood selected PatientKeeper’s Physician Information Technology to enhance community connectivity and improve physician workflow, while increasing physician alignment within the Oakwood Healthcare System. Over a 10 week period ending in December 2009, Oakwood deployed PatientKeeper (branded as OakCare Connect) to over 500 users. Since then their user population has grown to more than 1,000, including almost 600 physicians which represents roughly 50% of its physician community. Today, physicians across the enterprise can utilize PatientKeeper to access patient data that has been pulled from multiple disparate systems across the enterprise into a single software environment that is both simple and easy to use and saves physicians time.
