PA Secretary of Health to Mark 'Cover the Uninsured' Week; Stress Need for Affordable Health Insurance

Secretary of Health Dr. Calvin B. Johnson will meet with the public, healthcare advocates and community leaders at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, at the Chester City Health Department, to talk about the impact of being uninsured on individuals, families and the healthcare system. Dr. Johnson will also discuss Pennsylvania Access to Basic Care, a legislative proposal awaiting action in the Senate that would provide access to affordable health insurance to small businesses and those currently without insurance.
