OmniGuide, Inc., a commercial stage medical device company, today announced the appointment of Manny Avila as VP of Global Sales. Mr. Avila brings substantial experience in sales, sales operations, and general business management in the medical device industry. In his new role, Mr. Avila will be instrumental in helping drive the next phase of the company’s growth strategy.

Mr. Avila most recently served as VP Commercial Operations, Surgical Solutions Europe for Covidien, a diversified healthcare company. He previously spent nine years at Aspect Medical Systems in various positions including VP General Manager International and VP Global Sales Operations. Prior to joining Aspect Medical Systems, Mr. Avila was Director, Shared Services for Synthes-Stratec, VP Manufacturing at AKSYS Ltd. and Director of Operations at Haemonetics.
Mr. Avila received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
