Northeast Regional Medical Center Selects New Radiology Services Partner

KIRKSVILLE, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Northeast Regional Medical Center announced today that it has partnered with Radisphere, the only radiology provider offering proven accessibility and accountability to community hospitals. Radisphere will work closely with Northeast Regional’s medical staff to offer the best patient care possible.

Radiology is important to physicians because it is how many start to care and treat Northeast Regional’s patients. This partnership provides a new concentration on expert, subspecialty coverage with a focus on medical staff satisfaction.

“We selected Radisphere because of their commitment to quality interpretations, its customer service approach to our physicians, and its commitment to best practices across their team of radiologists,” said Ranee Brayton, Assistant CEO for Northeast Regional Medical Center. “Our goal is to improve service levels, the turnaround times of radiology reports, and the diagnostic quality provided to our medical staff so they can better serve our patients in the Kirksville area.”

Radisphere employs veteran radiologists with expertise in a range of specialty areas including emergency services, musculoskeletal (MSK), women’s imaging, and nuclear imaging. All Radisphere’s radiologists are American Board of Radiology Board Certified and located in the U.S.

Radisphere requires radiologists to have three to five years of experience that includes:

  • Academic and/or fellowship experience,
  • Clear motivation to focus exclusively on their subspecialty area, and
  • Interpreting an average of 10,000 to 15,000 cases annually to maintain their expertise.

Collectively, Radisphere radiologists have developed more than 8,000 articles, papers and lectures.

“This partnership with Northeast Regional shows they realize that in this era of healthcare delivery, it must provide radiology expertise that is more accountable and accessible to satisfy medical staff requirements to effectively treat patients,” said Radisphere’s Co-founder Frank Seidelmann, D.O. “Imaging is a significant clinical and cost component of most major diseases from cancer and cardiovascular disease to obesity and stroke. By being a strong partner with clinicians at the start of the treatment process, we can help them to make more informed diagnoses so they can provide the highest quality of care to their patients as efficiently as possible.”
