A new video interview with Lane R. Rosen, M.D. reviews why the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center sought to add proton therapy to its cancer care options.

Willis-Knighton is currently constructing a two-story proton therapy center using the first single-room compact proton therapy system developed by IBA. When completed, the new Willis-Knighton Proton Center will serve about 200 cancer patients annually.

In the interview, Dr. Rosen, the Director of Radiation Oncology at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center, shares Willis-Knighton’s vision for the new facility and discusses why proton therapy is an effective treatment for many cancer patients.

Proton therapy is considered the most advanced and targeted cancer treatment due to its superior dose distribution and fewer side effects.
