MRO’s ROI Online™ 2.1 Receives ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Certification

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MRO Corp., a leading provider of disclosure management applications and services for healthcare organizations, announced today that ROI Online™ 2.1, is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as an EHR Module on May 25, 2011 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

“This is a crucial time for hospitals and health systems as the legislative and regulatory requirements placed on them become more and more complex,” says David Borden, chief technology officer, MRO Corp. “MRO continues to look for ways to help its customers achieve meaningful use and improve health information exchange, and today’s certification by CCHIT is only the most recent example. The integration of ROI Online and Audit Tracker Online with the CMS CONNECT Gateway, as well as our work in developing an enterprise-wide solution for Accounting of Disclosures demonstrate our commitment to improving this process while solving our customers’ disclosure management challenges.”

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

“CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives,” said Karen M. Bell, M.D., M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.

ROI Online 2.1’s certification number is CC-1112- 505110 -1. ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

ROI Online 2.1 meets the following certification criteria: Accounting of Disclosures, Electronic Copy of Discharge Instructions, Access Control, Automatic Log-Off, Audit Log, Integrity, Authentication, General Encryption and Encryption when Exchanging Clinical Information.

The additional software ROI Online 2.1 relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes: ABCpdf and the Microsoft .NET Framework.
