More than 97% of anesthesiologists report drug shortages; St. Catherine pursues Chapter 7;

> A new survey from the American Society of Anesthesiologists found that more than 97 percent of anesthesiologists experienced shortages of at least one anesthetic, according to AHA News Now. As a result, more than 96 percent had to use an alternative drug and 50 percent had to alter a procedure "in some way." News brief

> After the hospital owner was convicted in February of back taxes, physicians at Medical Park Hospital in Arkansas are asking state officials to save the hospital from closure, reported the Arkansas Times. Article

> Following patient safety violations, Pennsylvania's St. Catherine Medical Center is changing course and pursuing Chapter 7 rather than Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to the Republican & Herald. Conversion to Chapter 7 would involve liquidation of assets and lead to the hospital's closure. Article
