CACDS members represent more than 6,200 pharmacies and dispense 70% of Canada's prescriptions each year. The deployment of MirixaPro will enable Canada's most active pharmacies to more efficiently augment their dispensing services with enhanced pharmacy services including comprehensive medication management. MirixaPro will enable pharmacists to document patient progress, identify compliance issues, and supply educational materials. This information can then be shared with patients' other care providers, fostering greater care and inter-professional collaboration and ultimately optimizing health outcomes.

Nadine Saby, President and CEO of CACDS comments, "Community pharmacy in Canada is in the early stages of significant professional practice evolution and payers are moving to establish reimbursement for these new pharmacy services, recognizing the value in improved patient health and well-being and cost effectiveness to the health care system. To better enable the delivery of these services, CACDS looked for a tool that would help standardize the deployment of clinical pharmacy services across the country through the use of a common technology platform. We evaluated a number of solutions and were impressed with the strength of the MirixaPro platform and the robustness of its capabilities."

"Worldwide, patient engagement is considered a necessary component for improved patient health outcomes," notes Rick Solano, CEO of Mirixa. "We are delighted that MirixaPro will be an important vehicle used by Canadian pharmacists to actively engage their patients and expand the role of pharmacists within their communities. Our deployment of technology beyond the U.S. demonstrated to CACDS leadership that the MirixaPro platform could be adapted to local needs and support an expanded set of requirements well into the future."
