Ms. Berson, Managing Member of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, will moderate a panel entitled, “Commercial Lenders’ Perspectives on Healthcare Deal Financing.”

Ms. Daccord, Co-chair of the firm’s Healthcare Deal Lawyers working group, will moderate a panel entitled, “Strategic and Financial Investors’ Perspectives on Opportunities in Non-Hospital Acute Care and Ancillary Services."

The 2012 Healthcare Deal Making Summit will bring together the leading players involved with healthcare mergers and acquisitions and provide participants and attendees with executive level intelligence. Not-for-profit healthcare providers, for-profit health systems, insurers and payors, non-hospital acute care and ancillary service providers, healthcare technology providers, private equity investors, investment bankers, and financiers will gather to reflect on the state of the industry, discuss deals and valuations trends, and establish the best strategic alliances and partnerships for the coming future.

Ms. Berson focuses on advising private and public health care service providers, including managed care organizations, pharmaceutical services providers, such as PBMs, behavioral health companies, specialty care companies, and integrated delivery systems, often in the context of strategic affiliations and complex service agreements. She has advised some of the nation’s largest government health programs and has negotiated some of the nation’s largest pharmacy service agreements, and also advises on complex mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and network development programs. Ms. Berson also has significant experience assisting venture capital groups and investment banks with investments in the health care industry. In addition to serving as Managing Member of the Washington, D.C. office and Member of the Health Law Practice, Ms. Berson is a member of the Firm’s Policy Committee.

Ms. Daccord’s practice involves a wide variety of transactional and regulatory matters, including joint ventures, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, and financing and contracting for health care providers across the country. Her recent health care merger and acquisition activity includes acquisitions, joint ventures, and financings totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Ms. Daccord’s clients span the health care spectrum, including a major dialysis provider, retail and specialty pharmacies, major academic medical systems, health information technology companies, ambulatory surgery centers, radiation therapy providers, behavioral health providers, diagnostic service providers, and sports and fitness providers. She provides general counseling, regulatory advice, and strategic planning for both non-profit and for-profit health care providers.
