> Twenty-three hospitals yesterday asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the city of Pontiac against them and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, reports the Detroit Free Press. The suit claims the hospitals went along with a plan to charge the highest prices to other insurers while giving discounts to Michigan Blues. Article

> Rural hospitals must deal with challenges such as limited financial and workforce resources as they implement the healthcare reform law, says a new report published this month by the American Hospital Association.
