EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- On January 17, Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois became the latest hospital emergency department to partner with CEP America, one of the nation's largest providers of emergency department (ED) management and staffing solutions. Memorial Hospital is the seventh facility in Illinois, and first in the St. Louis-area, to be staffed by CEP America physicians. Working with over 100 sites of care across the country, CEP America treats over 4 million patients annually.

“We are excited to welcome Memorial Hospital to our growing list of partner sites in Illinois,” said Dan Culhane, MD, CEP America vice president. “CEP America looks forward to providing efficient and high quality care to the entire Belleville community.”

CEP America, an independent emergency physician‐owned partnership, offers a wide range of clinical, staffing and administrative expertise designed to increase clinical quality and service excellence. Working with Memorial Hospital, CEP America will offer provider staffing solutions, work towards improving the turnaround time to discharge, and reduce a patient’s time‐to‐provider. Other sites that have utilized CEP America’s Rapid Medical Evaluation® (RME) program have, on average, seen their time‐to‐provider wait drop to 20 minutes below the national average.

Memorial Hospital is a 316-bed acute care facility serving the eastern suburbs of St. Louis since 1958. Recognized with MAGNET status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Memorial Hospital is committed to excellent patient outcomes and care coordination. The recently renovated ED utilizes the latest in healthcare technology, is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and is renowned for its expertise in pediatric care.
