WASHINGTON, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Gorman Health Group, one of the nation's leading professional services firms and software providers in government-sponsored health care, today announced that it has named Nathan Goldstein as its Chief Executive Officer.
Most recently Executive Vice President, Mr. Goldstein joined the company in 2004 just after the passage of the Medicare drug benefit. Since that time he has been a member of the management team that has quadrupled company revenue and diversified into software offerings designed specifically for the Medicare Advantage industry; GHG software now manages the payments of over five million Medicare beneficiaries. He has also been central to the development of two highly successful subsidiary companies focused on risk adjustment and quality outcomes.
"The health care industry is desperately in need of disruptive innovation and Nathan defines the term," said John Gorman, who founded the company that would become Gorman Health Group in 1996. "He is a problem solver, whether working on behalf of a client or within our own four walls. We are really only formalizing something that has been taking shape over the last year. My fellow partners and I were unanimous in our selection of him to succeed me."
Mr. Gorman will remain involved with the company as its Chairman, working with key clients and exploring business opportunities outside the firm's current business model.
"I am honored to take over this company from one of the industry's true greats," said Mr. Goldstein. "And with the talent that John has assembled here, I am confident that our best is yet to come. I am motivated every day by the team I work with and the clients we serve."
In addition to his work on GHG consulting and capability design, Nathan is a nationally known speaker and presents at numerous industry events each year on topics including health reform, the health care service model and innovations in clinical practice.
