Phil Dalton, president and CEO of , will be one of the featured speakers at the fifth annual RealShare Medical Office Buildings Conference, November 7-8, in Arizona. The conference will focus on the changes healthcare reform is bringing to the medical community and its impact on real estate developers, owners, investors and those who manage medical facilities.

Joining a distinguished panel of speakers who will focus specifically on the outpatient setting, Dalton will share his perspectives on how trends and opportunities in ambulatory care will continue to evolve under the Affordable Care Act. “The declining reimbursements for hospitals have made it more essential than ever to manage care in cost-effective environments such as outpatient clients, medical office buildings and urgent care centers,” says Dalton. “This important session will provide practical examples of how different markets are responding to these developments and what health systems and real estate developers can do to smartly expand outpatient opportunities in an era of shifting reimbursement models.”

A much sought-after speaker on the healthcare industry’s response to healthcare reform, last month Dalton discussed the evolution of physician practice models and business structures at the annual meeting of the Arizona Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Also in September, his own company – MDS Consulting – hosted its 7 annual healthcare leadership conference, which gathered many of the nation’s most preeminent healthcare executives to discuss innovative approaches and new strategies aimed at driving higher quality and value in healthcare. And earlier this year Dalton was a featured speaker at the annual meeting of the California Association of Physician Groups, discussing the growing prevalence of hospital and physician partnerships.

Dalton brings to his presentation more than 25 years of experience in healthcare strategy, policy, planning and business development. Over that time Dalton has worked with hundreds of healthcare organizations and is today one of the industry’s best-known thought leaders regarding physician/hospital integration and evolving healthcare business models.
